Contest Rules

How to Enter Contests:

A listener may enter any daily on-air contest by calling 1-812-333-2665 when the announcer asks for a specific numbered caller, or a specified contest trigger airs. That caller will then participate in the contest and win prizes for either the correct answer, or for being the designated numbered caller. Morning contests include but are not limited to “The WGCL Mind Quiz.”

Eligibility Restrictions:

Anyone 18 year of age or older may enter except employees of Sarkes Tarzian Inc., participating sponsors, or other radio stations in the Indianapolis or Bloomington Metro areas and their respective families.  Family is defined as parents, children, spouses, in-laws, and people in spouse-like relationships, siblings, including those in step and half relations where living in the same household. Also, those who have been employed by Sarkes Tarzian Inc. in the past 90 days are also ineligible.

You may only win a contest on WGCL or WGCLRadio.com once every 30 days.

*During the “WGCL Mind Quiz” contest, if the contestant is able to correctly answer the day’s trivia question, they’ll be a winner and receive the designated prizes.

Prizes:

Prizes vary from week to week.  The estimated value of the prize package awarded for each contest is approximately $25.00-$250.00.  Prizes are furnished to WGCL in exchange for promotional consideration.

Prize redemption will vary. Concert ticket prizes may be redeemed at will-call at the applicable concert venue (requiring photo identification), or will be mailed. WGCL is not responsible for misdelivered, non-delivered or damaged prizes.

All winners redeeming a prize in person must bring valid photo identification when claiming their prize.  All prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. The winner must claim their prize at the WGCL offices, 120 W. 7th Street Bloomington, IN 47404 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.  If the prize is not claimed within the allotted time, it will be forfeited by the winner and will become the property of WGCL.  All winners must sign a receipt of prize form and are solely responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on prizes, if applicable.

Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash, except that WGCL may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes or cash of comparable value.

Selection of Winners:

Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final. Based on the specific contest, winners are selected by being the designated caller, or the caller correctly answering the contest’s trivia question(s).

Online/Internet Contests

By the use of the WGCL website and by entering this contest, contestants agree to the WGCL website user agreement and privacy policy as described on www.WGCLRadio.com. Only one internet entry per email address is permitted per day during contest periods.  Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address.

Conditions:

As a consequence of delays in the online streaming of the WGCL signal compared to over-the-air broadcasts, online listeners may be at a disadvantage in attempting to participate in on-air contests. Entrants are encouraged to listen to the Station on-air. WGCL is not responsible for online streaming delays.

WGCL disclaims any responsibility for a participant’s inability to complete a telephone call, whether due to telephone equipment malfunction, busy lines, or otherwise.  WGCL also disclaims any responsibility for a participant’s inability to claim their prizes.

By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to allow their name, voice and/or likeness to be used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest for a period of one year without additional financial or other compensation, where applicable by law.

By participating in this contest, each winner agrees to hold WGCL, Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., and the respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

These rules are subject to the interpretation of WGCL. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WGCL, and such changes will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement.

No purchase is necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.

Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of WGCL.

WGCL is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcements of any prize.

Copies of the written rules are available during regular business hours at the main studios of WGCL,120 W. 7th Street, Bloomington, IN 47404.   10/6/14
