WTCC says
Taxes are out of control in Monroe County all county residents are invited to attend a public meeting on Tuesday August 15th to hear about the 912% increase in Washington Township’s township tax.
They have a page on Facebook at this link https://www.facebook.com/Washington-Township-Concerned-Citizens-2371166353107545/ and the Meeting next Tuesday is at the Community building behind the New Prospect Baptist Church on Old S.R. 37 North just north of the intersection with Mel Curry road.
Other townships are considering raising their taxes and county residents are urged to get information on this at this meeting.
This will be a meeting designed to help residents see their tax rates and how much they are paying and for what services.
